When I painted this work, I was focused on how strength can feel calm, deliberate, and observant — not just wild or dramatic. The tiger’s gaze in this piece isn’t frozen in action; it’s steady, like it is quietly aware of everything around it without being rushed or aggressive. I kept the composition centred and direct so the viewer meets the animal’s presence without distraction.

The colours and contrasts are balanced to give a sense of form and depth without overwhelming the space. The brushstrokes are intentional — textured where it matters to convey structure, smoother where the form needs to rest. This creates a sense of balance between movement and stillness.
