The olive branch has been part of human history far longer than any of us. On Cyprus, it’s not just a symbol — it’s part of the land itself. Olive trees here live for centuries, quietly witnessing generations, weather, change, and time itself.

When I worked on Eternal Olive, I was thinking about this continuity. About how something so simple — a branch, a few leaves — can hold ideas of peace, endurance, and patience. Olive trees don’t rush. They grow slowly, adapt to harsh conditions, and remain rooted even when everything around them changes.

I chose a restrained, natural palette and calm composition to reflect that feeling. Nothing here is meant to be dramatic. The branch exists gently within the space, balanced and steady, much like the olive trees scattered across the Cypriot landscape.

In an interior, this painting brings a sense of grounding. It fits naturally into light, Mediterranean spaces, homes with natural materials, or interiors where calm and meaning matter more than decoration.

Eternal Olive is about time — not the kind that rushes forward, but the kind that stays. The kind that reminds us that peace is often something simple, grown slowly, and carefully preserved.
